Darley shuttler & Gr1 Dubai World Cup winner Street Cry (Machiavellian-Helen Street, by Troy) added a group success when favoured 4YO entire Shocking (Street Cry-Maria Di Castiglia, by Danehill) burst clear along the rails & raced away for a decisive 2.25-lengths victory in the $250,000 Gr3 Lexus Stakes (2500m) at Flemington. Shocking (ridden by Michael Rodd for trainer Mark Kavanagh) defeated 6YO gelding Hume (Zabeel-Lolette, by Arazi) & 7YO gelding Irazu (Encosta de Lago-Morrigan Clare, by Toy Pindarri). Shocking (a $45,000 yearling at the 2007 Magic Millions Gold Coast Sale & subsequently a $64,000 2YO at the 2007 Magic Millions Queensland Horses-In-Training Sale) now has 4 wins & 7 placings (including his last 3 starts in the Gr3 David Jones Coongy Cup over 2000m at Caulfield on October 17, Gr2 Herbert Power Stakes over 2400m at Caulfield on October 10 & September's Listed JRA Cup over 2040m at Moonee Valley, plus June's Gr1 Queensland Derby over 2400m at Eagle Farm) from 14 starts for $432,525 earnings.
