Wednesday, 4th November 2009

Also on the track in Melbourne yesterday, Emirates Park Stud's Gr1-winning sire Al Maher (Danehill-Show Dancing, by Don't Say Halo) added a black-type success when top-weighted daughter Majestic Music (Al Maher-Regal Flute, by Royal Academy) scored a short-head victory in the $150,000 Listed Lexus Hybrid Plate (1400m) for 3YO fillies at Flemington. Majestic Music (ridden by Steven Arnold for trainers Leon Macdonald & Andrew Gluyas) defeated Europa Point (Rock Of Gibraltar-Gambei, by Dehere) & Indian Ocean (Danehill Dancer-Dashkova, by Fasliyev). Majestic Music took her record to 4 wins (also including October's Gr2 Edward Manifold Stakes over 1600m at Flemington & September's Listed Lindsay Park Guineas over 1600m at Morphettville, plus March's Gr3 The Jansz Stakes over 1200m at Morphettville) & 4 placings from 11 starts for $427,710 earnings. Meanwhile a colt half-brother to Majestic Music (by Three Bridges Thoroughbreds stallion Undoubtedly) will go under the hammer (consigned by Mill Park) at January's Magic Millions Yearling Sale at the Gold Coast.
