Western Australia's Durham Lodge-based dual Gr1-winning stallion Hurricane Sky (Star Watch-Dancing Show, by Nijinsky) added a feature success when favoured 7YO gelding Bourbonstreetblues (Hurricane Sky-Beanramhar, by Sir Tristram) won his 4th consecutive Victorian country cup in a month with a 1.25-lengths victory in yesterday’s $90,000 Kyneton Cup (2000m). Bourbonstreetblues (ridden by Dean Yendall for trainer Daryl Cannon) defeated 10YO gelding Daka’s Gem (Sedaka-Shades Of Jemma, by Thehool) & 5YO mare Dazzling Rubi (Lion Hunter-Rubi Rubi, by Rubiton). At his previous 3 starts, Bourbonstreetblues (a $50,000 yearling consigned from Stratheden Stud at the 2004 Magic Millions Premier QTIS Sale on the Gold Coast) won the Murtoa Cup (2050m) on October 3, Horsham Cup (1800m) on October 18 & Terang Cup (2015m at Warrnambool) on October 25. Overall he now has 12 wins & 9 placings from 43 starts for $243,372 earnings. Colac-based trainer Cannon indicated he is now aiming Bournonstreetblues at the Ballarat Cup (2200m) on November 18.
