Thursday, 5th November 2009

In France, Gr1-placed former Yarraman Park shuttler Desert Style (Green Desert-Organza, by High Top) “has had his fee increased to €8,000 (A$12,800) 1st October terms or €10,000 (A$16,000) live foal,” reported racingpost.com. Desert Style (sire of multiple Gr1-winners Paco Boy, Bachir & Mandesha) “proved to be a big hit with French breeders during his 1st year Haras du Hoguenet last season, covering 136 mares at a fee of €6,000 (A$9,600)”. He was the 2nd busiest sire in France (following Della Francesca, who covered 142 mares at Haras de la Haie Neuve following a promising start with his 1st-crop of 2YOs).
