Thursday, 5th November 2009

US Gr1-winning 8YO sire Prince Arch (Arch-Princess Kris, by Kris) will stand the 2010 season at the UK’s Walton Fields Stud in Leicestershire at a fee of £2,000 (A$3,600) reported racingpost.com. Prince Arch (a half-brother to this season's leading 2YO Kingsfort) stood the last 3 seasons at Bridge House Stud in Ireland for €3,000 (A$4,800) & his 1st crop are yearlings this year. Bloodstock agent Brian Grassick purchased Prince Arch for US$300,000 at the 2005 Fasig-Tipton Kentucky fall mixed sale. On the track, Kentucky-bred Prince Arch won 6 of 15 starts (including breaking the 11 furlongs track record when defeating older horses & carrying top-weight the 2005 Gr1 Gulfstream Park Breeders' Cup Handicap, plus the 2004 Gr3 Jefferson Cup Stakes, Gr3 Saranac Handicap & Listed Forerunner Stakes) & earned US$609,186.
