Gr1 Star Art Connoisseur Retired To Irish National Stud

Also in Ireland, this season’s Gr1-winning 3YO colt Art Connoisseur (Lucky Story-Withorwithoutyou, by Danehill) has been retired to a breeding career at the Irish National Stud next season at a fee of €7,000 (A$11,200), reported racingpost.com. Art Connoisseur was the most expensive yearling from his sire's 1st-crop when sold for 55,000 guineas (A$105,000) at the 2007 UK Tattersalls October Sale & retires with victories in the Gr1 Golden Jubilee Stakes (6 furlongs) at Royal Ascot & Gr2 Coventry Stakes over (6 furlongs) at Royal Ascot, plus runner-up in Ireland’s Gr1 Phoenix Stakes (6 furlongs) at The Curragh. Overall he notched 4 win from 11 starts for nearly £400,000 (A$720,000) earnings.
