Aust-Bred Xaar Son Wins South Africa Gr2

In South Africa, former WA Oakland Park shuttler Xaar (Zafonic-Monroe, by Sir Ivor) added a group success when Australian-bred 4YO gelding Seattle Ice (Xaar-Seattle Rhyme, by Seattle Dancer) scored a 2.5-lengths victory in the R600,000 (A$91,000) Gr2 Emperor’s Palace Charity Mile (1600m) at Turffontein. Seattle Ice (ridden by Gunter Wrogemann for trainer Geoff Woodruff) defeated fellow 4YO geldings Magical (Labeeb-Bite Your Tongue, by Foveros) & Captain Scott (Captain Al-Utah Hoo-Ha, by Badger Land). Seattle Ice (a half-brother to fellow Australian-bred South African stakes-winner Profit Report) took his record to 4 wins & 5 placings from 13 starts.
