Brahms Adds US Gr3

Monday, 9th November 2009

Former Vinery Stud shuttler Brahms (Danzig-Queens, by Mr Prospector) added a US graded-stakes success when gelded son Bad Action (Brahms-Lucky Carley, by Sky Classic) scored a half-length victory in the US$150,000 Gr3 Pegasus Handicap (9 furlongs) for 3YOs at Meadowlands in New Jersey. Bad Action (ridden by David Cohen for trainer Gary Contessa) defeated the colts Big Top (Giant's Causeway-Thorough Fair, by Quiet American) & previously unbeaten favourite Iqbaal (Medaglia D'Oro-Queen's Lady, by Storm Cat). Bad Action now has 8 wins & 8 placings (including his previous start in October’s Listed Proud Truth Stakes over 9 furlongs at Aqueduct) from 21 starts for US$299,115 earnings.
