Monday, 9th November 2009

Highview Stud's Australian-bred stallion Align (Night Shift-Super Trend, by Red Anchor) added a black-type success when 4YO gelding Coup Align (Align-Diamond Snip, by Snippets) scored a 1.25-lengths victory in the NZ$45,000 Listed Pegasus Stakes (1000m) at Riccarton Park. Coup Align (ridden by Lisa Allpress for trainer Michael Pitman) defeated favoured 5YO gelding Vonusti (Ustinov-Reasonably, by Sound Reason) & 7YO gelding Ketchiben (Senor Pete-Ketchikau, by Kreisler). Coup Align (a NZ$30,000 yearling at the 2007 NZB Select Sale) now has 7 wins (also including January’s Listed Gore Guineas over 1355m) from 11 starts for NZ$115,000 earnings.
