Life Is Sweet (ridden by Garrett Gomez for trainer John Shirreffs) defeated fellow 4YO mares Mushka (Empire Maker-Sluice, by Seeking The Gold) & Music Note (A.P.Indy-Note Musicale, by Sadler's Wells). Overall Life Is Sweet (a full-sister to champion Sweet Catomine) now has 6 wins (also including March’s Gr1 Santa Margarita Invitational Handicap over 9 furlongs at Santa Anita, February's Gr2 La Canada Stakes over 9 furlongs at Santa Anita & January’s Gr2 El Encino Stakes over 8.5 furlongs at Santa Anita) & 4 placings (in July’s Gr1 Hollywood Gold Cup over 10 furlongs at Hollywood Park & May’s Gr2 Milady Handicap over 8.5 furlongs at Hollywood Park, plus 2008’s Gr2 Sands Point Stakes over 9 furlongs at Belmont Park & Listed Calder Oaks over 9 furlongs at Calder) from 15 starts for US$1,770,810 earnings.
