Monday, 9th November 2009

Windsor Park Stud's 7-time NZ champion sire Volksraad (Green Desert-Celtic Assembly, by Secretariat) added a black-type success when 6YO gelding Richard Beymer (Volksraad-Westside Story, by Star Way) prevailed in a 3-way photo-finish to the NZ$45,000 Listed Timpson Family Trust Sprint (1200m) at Te Rapa. Richard Beymer (ridden by Kate Hercock for trainer Jakki Good) scored by a neck from fellow 6YO gelding Veloz (Black Minnaloushe-Dragon Pearl, by Ahonoora) with a further long-head to 5YO mare Bella Valentina (Pins-Roaring Meg, by Centaine).
