Monday, 9th November 2009

Darley 9YO freshman sire Offlee Wild (Wild Again-Alvear, by Seattle Slew) recorded his 1st Gr1 triumph when juvenile daughter She Be Wild (Offlee Wild-Trappings, by Seeking The Gold) flashed home along the rail to score a 0.75-length victory in the US$2 million Gr1 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies (8.5 furlongs on all-weather) for 2YO fillies at Santa Anita. She Be Wild (ridden by Julien Leparoux for trainer Wayne Catalano) defeated Beautician (Dehere-Caroni, by Rubiano) & favourite Blind Luck (Pollard's Vision-Lucky One, by Best Of Luck). Kentucky-bred She Be Wild took her record to 4 wins (also including September’s Gr3 Arlington-Washington Lassie Stakes over 8 furlongs at Arlington Park & August’s Listed Top Flight Stakes over 7 furlongs at Arlington Park) & a runner-up (in last start’s Gr1 Darley Alcibiades Stakes over 8.5 furlongs on all-weather at Keeneland on October 9) from 5 starts for US$1,311,040 earnings.
