Beadman Suspended Until Dec 9 For Missing Rides
Racing NSW stewards yesterday suspended apprentice Mitchell Beadman until December 9 following his failure to fulfil riding engagements at Randwick last Saturday. Beadman, 19, had approached stewards on Saturday morning seeking permission to withdraw from 2 booked mounts “due to personal reasons for which he has sought professional assistance”. Stewards decided Beadman (currently under suspension until the Riding Skills Panel is satisfied his race riding techniques will conform to the new whip rules) will now attend the Racing NSW Licensing Committee meeting on November 23, where “the status of his current indentures with trainer Chris Waller will be ascertained & the Licensing Committee may make further recommendations to the chief executive of Racing NSW following that meeting”. Waller is the 3rd trainer to take on Beadman’s indentures (following previously periods with John Hawkes & John O’Shea).
