Begg Confirms All Silent Aiming At Hong Kong Gr1

Tuesday, 10th November 2009

Randwick trainer Grahame Begg confirmed he is likely to aim 6YO gelding All Silent (Belong To Me-Lisheenowen, by Semipalatinsk) at December’s Gr1 Hong Kong International Sprint, following his stunning victory in last weekend’s Gr1 Patinack Farm Classic (1200m) at Flemington. Begg told Radio Sport 927: “He was simply superb, I guess, is a good way of describing him. That’s as good as it gets. . . . . We’re very happy with the horse & he seems to have pulled up well. We're going to get him back to Sydney & give him a couple of days off in the paddock, then we’ll get him ready (for HK).” All Silent (passed-in as a yearling for $280,000 at the 2005 Inglis Easter Sale in Sydney) now has 8 wins (also including October’s Gr2 Gilgai Stakes over 1200m at Flemington & March's Gr2 Canterbury Stakes over 1300m at Rosehill, plus 2008's Gr1 Emirates Stakes over 1600m at Flemington, Gr3 AAMI International Travel Insurance Stakes over 1400m at Flemington & Gr2 Ajax Stakes over 1500m at Rosehill) & 2 placings (including May's Gr1 Doomben 10,000 over 1350m at Doomben) from 19 starts for $1,595,825 earnings.
