Dandy Man Retired To Ballyhane Stud In Ireland

Also in Ireland, Godolphin’s Gr1-placed 6YO sprinter Dandy Man (Mozart-Lady Alexander, by Night Shift) has been retired & will stand his 1st season in 2010 at Ballyhane Stud in County Carlow for €4,500 (A$7,200). Dandy Man (whose dam Lady Alexander won Ireland’s Gr3 Molecomb Stakes) is a member of the only crop sired by the ill-fated UK Gr1 July Cup winner Mozart. On the track, Dandy Man recorded 6 wins (including the UK Gr3 Palace House Stakes over 5 furlongs at Newmarket, Irish Listed Tipperary Stakes over 5 furlongs at Tipperary, Irish Listed Woodlands Stakes over 5 furlongs at Naas & Irish Listed Richard Faught Memorial Stakes over 5 furlongs at The Curragh, plus placings in the UK Gr1 Nunthorpe Stakes over 5 furlongs at York, UK Gr2 King’s Stand Stakes over 5 furlongs at Royal Ascot, UK Gr3 King George Stakes over 5 furlongs at Goodwood, UK Gr3 World Trophy over 5 furlongs at Newbury, Irish Gr3 Flying Five over 5 furlongs at The Curragh, Irish Listed Sprint Stakes over 5 furlongs at Naas & Irish Listed Woodlands Stakes over 5 furlongs at Naas) from 30 starts for over £285,000 (A$513,000) earnings.
