Full Of Gold Switch To L'Abbaye In France

Wednesday, 11th November 2009

Meanwhile stud plans for France’s 2007 Gr1 Criterium de Saint-Cloud (2000m) winner Full Of Gold (Gold Away-Funny Feerie, by Sillery) have been changed: he will “not be retired to his owner Alec Head's Haras du Quesnay as had been announced last month & will instead begin his stallion career at the Haras de l'Abbaye near Limoges,” reported racingpost.com. Full Of Gold (a half-brother to this season's Gr1 Prix du Jockey-Club runner-up Fuisse) has also had his initial fee down-graded from €2,500 (A$4,000) to €2,000 (A$3,200). On the track, Full Of Gold also won France’s Gr2 Prix Noailles (2100m) at Longchamp & placed in the Gr3 La Coupe de Maisons-Laffitte (2000m).
