Fasig-Tipton Nov: US$1.5m Black Mamba

Australian buyer Tony Bott from Evergreen Farm paid US$1.5 million for US Gr1-winning & multiple Gr1-placed 6YO NZ-bred mare Black Mamba (Black Minnaloushe-Sneetch, by Grosvenor) consigned by Taylor Made Sales Agency. Black Mamba (a half-sister to Gussy Godiva, dam of Gr1 AJC Derby winner Roman Emperor) was bred by NZ’s Keltern Stud & originally sold for NZ$120,000 as a yearling at the 2004 NZ Bloodstock Karaka Premier Sale. In the US, she has won the Gr1 John Mabee Handicap, Gr2 Beverly Hills Handicap twice & Listed Dowager Stakes, as well as placing in the Gr1 Yellow Ribbon Stakes 3 times, Gr1 Gamely Stakes, Gr2 Santa Barbara Handicap twice, Gr2 Buena Vista Handicap, Gr2 Palomar Breeders' Cup Handicap, Gr2 Las Palmas Handicap, Gr2 Dahlia Handicap & Listed American Beauty Handicap.
