Vic Jumps Future Decided "Before End Of Month"

Thursday, 12th November 2009

The future of jumps racing in Victoria “will be known before the end of the month” when detailed information on the sector “will be presented to the Racing Victoria board for discussion” reported The Herald-Sun. No date for an announcement has been set, but Racing Victoria chief executive Rob Hines confirmed the situation “needed to be resolved before the annual general meeting early next month”. Hines added: “All the data that has been collated does not include a recommendation. It's just all the facts, the input from the various parties & will be provided as a package to the board. It will have a number of options, but no recommendations. The board will debate that in full session.”
