Wall Street Wins NZ Coupland's Bakeries Mile

In New Zealand, dual-Derby winning Coolmore sire & former NZ Windsor Park shuttler Montjeu (Sadler's Wells-Floripedes, by Top Ville) added a group success when favoured 5YO gelding Wall Street (Montjeu-Villa Wanda, by Grand Lodge) notched his 5th successive win with a 1.5-lengths victory in yesterday’s NZ$250,000 Gr2 Coupland’s Bakeries Mile (1600m) at Riccarton Park in Christchurch. Wall Street (ridden by Buddy Lammas for trainer Jeff Lynds) defeated Australian-bred 4YO gelding Tell A Tale (Tale Of The Cat-Cheeky Veronika, by Sir Tristram) & 6YO gelding The Twist (Danske-Jollify, by Kingdom Bay). Wall Street (a NZ$100,000 yearling consigned by Te Mania Thoroughbreds at the 2006 NZB Premier Sale at Karaka) now has 6 wins & a runner-up from 9 starts for NZ$208,650 earnings.
