Tatts Ireland Nov Flat: Average Down 19.1%

In the Irish auction ring overnight, the clearance rate dropped to just 36% (from 46% in 2008) at the 1-day Tattersalls Ireland November Breeders Flat Sale at Ratoath outside Dublin. Overall 60 lots sold for €140,650 (A$225,000) which was down 46.7% from last year. The average of €2,344 (A$3,800) was down 19.1% & the median of €1,300 (A$2,100) was down 18.8%. Tattersalls Ireland managing director George Mernagh summed up: “Today was a challenging day as expected.”
