US Sire Repent Moves To Empire Stud

US multiple Gr2-winning & multiple Gr1-placed 10-year-old 3rd-crop stallion Repent (Louis Quatorze-Baby Grace, by Cipayo) will stand in 2010 at Empire Stud in New York for US$5,000 “as the property of CloverLeaf Farms,” reported bloodhorse.com. Repent (who initially stood at CloverLeaf in Florida) last stood at Vinery in Kentucky in 2009 for US$7,500. On the track, Repent recorded 5 wins (including the 2001 Gr2 Kentucky Jockey Club Stakes at Churchill Downs & Gr3 Kentucky Cup Juvenile Stakes at Turfway Park, plus both the 2002 Gr2 Louisiana Derby & Gr3 Risen Star Stakes at Fair Grounds) & 3 runners-up (including the 2001 Gr1 Breeders' Cup Juvenile at Belmont Park & Gr1 Travers Stakes at Saratoga) from 10 starts & earned US$1,255,660.
