Wednesday, 18th November 2009

In Ireland overnight, pin-hooker Jimmy Murphy (who owns Redpender Stud) paid top price of €33,000 (A$53,000) for a colt by Intikhab (out of winning Titus Livius mare Poppys Footprint) during the opening session at the 4-day Goffs November Foal Sale. The colt (consigned from Caherhugh Farm Stud) is a half-brother to a winning juvenile in Italy & Murphy told racingpost.com: “Intikhab is a sire I like, although I haven't been able to buy one over the last few years. This was a good colt & I just thought that he fitted the bill. He'll be back for sale again next autumn.”
