Goffs Weanlings Day-2: $96k Amadeus Wolf Colt

Thursday, 19th November 2009

In Ireland overnight, bloodstock agent Ross Doyle paid top price of €60,000 (A$96,000) for a colt from the 1st-crop of Gr1-winner Amadeus Wolf (out of Selkirk mare Kirk Wynd) during the 2nd session at the 4-day Goffs November Foal Sale. The colt (consigned from Gary Swift Sales) is a grandson of top sprinter Mozart & Doyle told racingpost.com: “I've bought him for Pier House Stud to be resold next autumn. He's a very nice sort with plenty of size about him, which you would like. Also he's by a sire whose 1st foals this week have been a good bunch.”
