Friday, 20th November 2009

In France overnight, former Darley shuttler King's Best (Kingmambo-Allegretta, by Lombard) added a black-type success when Irish-bred daughter Mary Boleyn (King's Best-Bint Kaldoun, by Kaldoun) scored a 2.5-lengths victory in the €55,000 (A$88,000) Listed Prix Solitude (1800m) for 3YO fillies at Fontainebleau. Mary Boleyn (ridden by Yann Lerner for trainer John Hammond) defeated UK-bred duo Lake Palace (Nayef-Lia, by Desert King) & the winner’s stable-mate Liberty Chery (Statue Of Liberty-Marion, by Doyoun).
