Bartley Plans Move From NSW To Qld

Wednesday, 25th November 2009

Trainer Tracey Bartley “plans to relocate his operation from Mudgee in central NSW to Queensland next year,” reported The Daily Telegraph. Bartley “has begun searching for suitable stables at Caloundra on Queensland's Sunshine Coast, but hasn't ruled out a move to the Gold Coast”. He confirmed: “It's been in the back of my mind for a while. I'm not getting any younger, but I only want a stable of about 15-20 horses. Here (at Mudgee) I'm so far away from the action that I'm not doing my job. I should be in Perth right now.” Bartley returned to his property to look after his team just 2 days after stable star Sniper's Bullet won last Saturday’s Gr1 Railway Stakes at Ascot in Perth. Bartley said the idea of training in Queensland would be a great challenge, noting: “I've had a lot of luck in Brisbane & we're definitely serious about moving & I've already told a couple of my owners.”
