US Gr3-winning 12-year-old freshman sire Country Be Gold (Summer Squall-Beloved Sea, by Personal Flag) recorded his 1st winner when 2YO colt Grapes To Wine (Country Be Gold-Essie’s Link, by Cherokee Colony) scored by 5-lengths over 6 furlongs at Remington Park in Oklahoma for trainer Juan Padilla. Country Be Gold (who will stand the 2010 season at Caines Stallion Station in Oklahoma) recorded 11 wins (including the Gr3 Aqueduct Handicap, Listed Gate Dancer Stakes, Listed Kelso Stakes & Listed DTHA Owners’ Day Handicap) & 15 placings from 59 starts for US$818,691 earnings.
