8 Aust-Bred Winners In Hong Kong

In Hong Kong yesterday, 8 Australian-bred gallopers scored at Sha Tin (click on the horse name to watch a video replay of each race):

  • 6YO gelding Guan Dao (Kendel Star-Even You, by Tribu) won over 1200m for trainer Almond Lee.
  • 4YO gelding Brave Kid (Elusive City-Gordon's, by Kaapstad) won over 1000m for Australian trainer John Size. Brave Kid was passed-in as a yearling for NZ$130,000 at the 2007 NZ Bloodstock Premier Sale.
  • 6YO gelding China Lujia (Grand Lodge-A New Song, by Regal Classic) won over 1000m for trainer Alex Wong. China Lujia was a $50,000 yearling at the 2005 Magic Millions Winter Sale.
  • 4YO gelding So Pretty So Smart (French Deputy-Lucky Lady, by Nashwan) won over 1400m for trainer Manfred Man. So Pretty So Smart was a $30,000 yearling at the 2007 Inglis Classic Sale in Sydney.
  • 4YO gelding Spinnaker (Stravinsky-Arletty, by Centaine) won over 1800m for Australian trainer John Size. Spinnaker was a $150,000 yearling at the 2007 Inglis Easter Sale in Sydney.
  • 7YO gelding Good Partner (Quest For Fame-Beam, by Scenic) won over 1400m for trainer Peter Ho. Good Partner was a $230,000 weanling at the 2003 Inglis Select Sale & subsequently a $340,000 yearling at the 2004 Magic Millions January Gold Coast Sale.
  • 4YO gelding Danzulu (Catbird-Bravo Zulu, by Military Plume) won over 1400m for Australian trainer David Hall.
  • 4YO gelding Brave Spirit (Red Ransom-Ain't She A Daisy) won over 1600m for trainer Tony Cruz. Brave Spirit was a $240,000 yearling at the 2007 Inglis Easter Sale in Sydney.
