Laing To Start Satellite Jumps Stable In SA

Wednesday, 2nd December 2009

Meanwhile prominent jumps trainer Robbie Laing confirmed “he will set up a satellite stable in South Australia next season if Racing Victoria stands by its decision to ban jumps racing in Victoria,” reported The Advertiser. Laing (who has 15 jumpers among his horses) noted: “It is not our preferred option, but we have horses & owners to cater for & if they (SA) were the only ones that had enough guts in Australia to run jumps racing, then we would reward them.” Laing accused the RV board of being as "weak as water" & “questioned whether it was the board or the RSPCA running racing in the state”.
