Burdekin Blues Wins George Moore Stakes

Lyndhurst Stud sire Sequalo (Rustic Amber-Dash Around, by Bending Away) added a group success when favoured 5YO gelding Burdekin Blues (Sequalo-Winsome Blue, by Blue Run) notched his 3rd successive win with a 0.75-length victory in the $200,000 Gr3 George Moore Stakes (1200m) at Doomben in Brisbane. Front-running Burdekin Blues (ridden by Shane Scriven for trainer Barry Baldwin) defeated 4YO mare Zero Rock (Danzero-Broc n Roll, by Brocco) & 8YO entire Forestreno (Shinko Forest-Santreno Lass, by Pride Of Karioi). Burdekin Blues (a $32,000 yearling consigned by Lyndhurst Stud at the 2006 Magic Millions Gold Coast Sale) now has 10 wins (also including last start’s Listed Ultimate Style Guide over 1100m at Flemington on November 5, plus February’s Gr2 Expressway Stakes over 1200m at Rosehill) & 4 placings from 17 starts for $587,050 earnings.
