Tuesday, 8th December 2009

However Doncaster Bloodstock also revealed annual turnover in 2009 “fell by nearly £10 million (A$18m) on last year to £26,602,400 (A$47.88m)” reported racingpost.com. DBS managing director Henry Beeby commented: “It has certainly been a real rollercoaster year in the bloodstock world, but we have been delighted to see the pragmatic optimism that we urged last year really come to the fore over the last few months. The bloodstock community is an admirably resilient bunch & the confidence that has returned to the market is most encouraging. . . . Difficult times? Undoubtedly, but we face the future with huge optimism as we feel a corner has been turned.”
