Ill-fated Lindsay Park stallion & 1994 Gr1 Melbourne Cup winner Jeune (Kalaglow-Youthful, by Green Dancer) added a stakes-success when filly Impressive Jeuney (Jeune-Rego’s Girl, by Rory’s Jester) won the $100,200 Listed WA St Leger (2100m) for 3YOs at Ascot in Perth. Impressive Jeuney (ridden by Shaun O’Donnell for trainer Darren McAuliffe) defeated the colts Red Hot Choice (Redoute’s Choice-Red Hot Mama, by General Nediym) & Thorn Dancer (Thorn Park-Katie O’Neill, by Zabeel). Impressive Jeuney (a $27,000 weanling at the 2007 Magic Millions National Sale) now has 3 wins & 4 placings (including last weekend’s Gr3 Sir Ernest Lee-Steere Classic over 1400m for 3YOs at Ascot) from 9 starts for $149,200 earnings.
