Passchendaele Wins NZ Gr3 Waikato Times Gold Cup

In New Zealand, dual-Derby winning Coolmore sire & former NZ Windsor Park shuttler Montjeu (Sadler's Wells-Floripedes, by Top Ville) added a group success when 4YO mare Passchendaele (Montjeu-Classic Babe, by Classic Flame) scored a 2.5-lengths victory in NZ$100,000 Gr3 Waikato Times Gold Cup (2400m) at Te Rapa. Passchendaele (ridden by Mark Du Plessis for trainer John Sargent) defeated Australian-bred 5YO gelding Minqar Qaim (Zabeel-Marquise, by Gold And Ivory) & 4YO mare Fairfield Flame (Oasis Dream-Fantastic Flame, by Generous). Passchendaele now has 5 wins & a runner-up from 9 starts for NZ$103,910 earnings.
