Kadyrov "Too Busy Hunting Rebels" To Visit Aust

Friday, 18th December 2009

The Victoria Racing Club "may be spared embarrassment over the potential personal visit of Chechen president Ramzan Kadyrov to the Spring Carnival" to watch his horses Mourilyan & Bankable compete, reported anzbloodstocknews.com. Kadyrov won't travel to Australia "because he is busy hunting rebels", according to his press spokesman Alvi Karimov, who noted:  "The president never said he would travel to Australia. He has taken a vacation to have enough time to deal with the fight against rebel formations & bandits who are killing Russian citizens in Chechnya." However Karimov added: "But the 2 horses will definitely take part & hopefully get prizes." (Sep 28)
