New Zealand's Windsor Park Stud announced Coolmore's former champion European juvenile & 4-time Gr1-winning 4YO stallion Mastercraftsman (Danehill Dancer-Starlight Dreams, by Black Tie Affair) will join its stallion roster for the 2010 southern hemisphere breeding season at a fee of NZ$25,000+GST. Mastercraftsman recorded 7 wins (including 2009's UK Gr1 St James's Palace Stakes over 8 furlongs at Royal Ascot, Irish Gr1 2000 Guineas over 8 furlongs at The Curragh & Irish Listed Diamond Stakes over 10.5 furlongs at Dundalk, plus 2008's Irish Gr1 National Stakes over 7 furlongs at The Curragh, Gr1 Phoenix Stakes over 6 furlongs at The Curragh & Gr2 Railway Stakes over 6 furlongs at the Curragh) & 2 placings (in 2009's Irish Gr1 Champion Stakes over 10 furlongs at Leopardstown & UK Gr1 Juddmonte International over 10.5 furlongs at York) from 12 starts for over A$1.8m earnings. Windsor Park principal Nelson Schick commented: "Whichever way you dissect him, Mastercraftsman ticks all the boxes we look for in a stallion prospect." In addition, his sire Danehill Dancer (2009 Champion Sire in Great Britain & Ireland, plus twice Champion Sire of 2YOs in Great Britain & Ireland) has sired 106 stakes-winners world-wide.
