Typhoon Tracy Will Not Campaign Overseas

Thursday, 1st April 2010

Multiple Gr1-winning 4YO mare Typhoon Tracy (Red Ransom-Tracy's Element, by Last Tycoon) "is to have 2 starts in Sydney this autumn but will not campaign overseas," reported The Daily Telegraph. Trainer Peter Moody confirmed: "She goes around in the Gr1 Queen Of The Turf Stakes at Rosehill on Saturday & then is most likely to have a run at Randwick. We have 2 options for Randwick, either the Gr1 Doncaster Mile or Gr1 All-Aged Stakes. I would say the All-Aged is the more likely race. But that will be it for this season. The mare is not going to England; she's going for a spell because (we plan) to have a crack at the Gr1 Cox Plate" (in Melbourne in October). Typhoon Tracy has won her last 4 starts, including Gr1 triumphs in each of the Gr1 Futurity Stakes (1600m) at Caulfield, Gr1 Orr Stakes (1400m) at Caulfield & Gr1 Myer Classic (1600m) at Flemington.
