Kentucky 2YOs: US$325k Indian Charlie Filly
Also during this morning's (Australian time) early action at Keeneland, Thoroughbred Futures paid US$325,000 for an Indian Charlie filly (out of stakes-placed Mining mare Fast An Sexy) consigned by McKathan Bros as agent. The filly (a half-sister to stakes-winner Swede) also clocked 10.2sec for 1 furlong during the pre-sale breeze-up session & previously sold for US$175,000 at the 2009 Keeneland September Yearling Sale. Thoroughbred Futures' Andrew Cary told bloodhorse.com: "It's the same old story; the really good ones bring really good money. We love the sire; Indian Charlie has had a lot good fillies & (trainer) Todd Pletcher is going to get this one. We're thrilled to have her. She's an April foal & I think she's got a lot of developing still to do. We hope to race her through the summer & fall."
