Plastic Running Rails For 14 More Vic Clubs
Victorian Minister For Racing Rob Hulls announced new plastic running rails "developed & manufactured in Victoria will be rolled out to 14 more racing clubs before the end of March next year". Hulls noted: "The safety of jockeys, horses, spectators & everyone else involved at racetracks around the state is paramount to the on-going prosperity of racing in Victoria. The $2.3 million roll-out of these plastic running rails will transform Victoria's racing industry and, in time, I'm confident we will see them in other states, if not other countries too." The new rails will be installed at Ararat, Ballarat, Cranbourne, Echuca, Geelong, Horsham, Mildura, Mornington, Pakenham, Stawell, Swan Hill, Wangaratta, Warrnambool & Wodonga. Victorian clubs already announced as plastic running rails recipients are Bairnsdale, Benalla, Bendigo, Hamilton, Kilmore, Kyneton, Moe, Sale, Seymour, Werribee & Yarra Valley.
