Poor Judge Wins Bribie Handicap

Former shuttler & now permanently Australian-based Coolmore stallion Royal Academy (Nijinsky-Crimson Saint, by Crimson Satan) added a black-type success (& 157th individual stakes-winner world-wide) when favoured 4YO gelding Poor Judge (Royal Academy-Outward Display, by Thunder Gulch) made it 2 successive wins in a fortnight with a 0.75-length victory in the $75,000 Listed Bribie Handicap (1200m) at Eagle Farm in Brisbane. Poor Judge (ridden by Chris Munce for trainer Norm Hilton) defeated fellow 4YO gelding Leapfrog (Hurricane Sky-Risky Banter, by Rory's Jester) & 5YO gelding Dalzar (Xaar-Maharani, by Dalmacia). Poor Judge (a $130,000 yearling consigned by Widden Stud at the 2007 Magic Millions Premier Sale on the Gold Coast) now has 8 wins & 4 placings from 17 starts for $157,500 earnings.
