Racing NSW To Appoint Administrator At Kempsey

Tuesday, 6th April 2010

Racing NSW "will appoint an administrator to control Kempsey Race Club," reported The Sun-Herald. The club "had financial difficulties before the track was closed earlier this year due to the poisoning of a large section of the course proper". Racing NSW country general manager Scott Kennedy confirmed: "The administrator, due to be announced in a week or two, will deal with a complex set of issues including legal action, course-proper remediation, the training track & maintenance, securing the club's finances & governance. The club is happy with the arrangement while these issues are being resolved."
