Rosehill Whip Furore 6: AJA Seeks Meeting With V'landys
As a result of the comparison between NSW & Victoria, Australian Jockeys Association chief executive Paul Innes "is hoping to meet with Racing NSW chief executive Peter V'Landys this week to discuss the massive discrepancies" reported The Daily Telegraph. Innes confirmed: "We are after a more rational & sensible approach to penalties in line with other states. I don't think they will, but the Australian Racing Board should step in. We need a national approach to penalties." Innes described NSW chief steward Ray Murrihy's actions as "provocative & unncessary" & declared: "Racing NSW believes other states need to come up to their standard. In the meantime, our members are being crucified."
