Typhoon Tracy Wins Gr1 Queen Of The Turf Stakes

Deceased former Vinery Stud shuttler & in recent years permanently Australian-based stallion Red Ransom (Roberto-Arabia, by Damascus) added a Gr1 triumph when favoured 4YO mare Typhoon Tracy (Red Ransom-Tracy's Element, by Last Tycoon) notched her 4th successive Gr1 triumph (& 5th successive stakes-win) with a 2.25-lengths victory in the $400,000 weight-for-age Gr1 Inglis Queen Of The Turf Stakes (1500m) for fillies & mares at Rosehill. Typhoon Tracy (ridden by Luke Nolen for trainer Peter Moody) defeated 5YO mare Illuminates (Strategic-Dazzle Light, by Danzero) & fellow 4YO mare Montana Flyer (Flying Spur-Montana Downs, by Bluebird). Typhoon Tracy took her record to 10 wins (also including both February's Gr1 Futurity Stakes over 1600m at Caulfield & Gr1 C.F.Orr Stakes over 1400m at Caulfield, plus 2009's Gr1 Myer Classic over 1600m at Flemington, Gr1 Coolmore Classic over 1500m at Rosehill, Gr2 Tristarc Stakes over 1400m at Caulfield, Gr3 Schweppervescence Trophy over 1400m at Flemington & Listed Kevin Hayes Stakes over 1200m at Caulfield) & 2 placings (in 2009's Gr2 Makybe Diva Stakes over 1600m at Flemington & Gr2 Liston Stakes over 1400m at Caulfield) from 13 starts for $1,995,100 earnings.
