1st Winner For Darley Sire & Westbury Shuttler Librettist

In the UK overnight, Darley's French-based mutliple Gr1-winning 8YO freshman stallion & NZ Westbury Stud shuttler Librettist (Danzig-Mysterial, by Alleged) recorded his 1st winner with his 1st runner when 2YO filly Little Libretto (Librettist-Sharadayna, by Priolo) scored at Nottingham for trainer David Evans, reported racingpost.com. Little Libretto was sold for €7,000 (A$10,500) at the 2009 Tattersalls Ireland September Yearling Sale. Librettist originally retired to Dalham Hall Stud in Newmarket & transferred in 2009 to Haras du Logis in France, where he is standing this season for €7,000 (A$10,500). On the track for Godolphin, Librettist (a half-brother to Gr1-winning Darley shuttler Dubai Destination & from the family of Vinery shuttler Red Ransom) won 7 of his initial 8 starts, including 2006's French Gr1 Prix Du Moulin (1600m) at Longchamp, French Gr1 Prix Jacques Le Marois (1600m) at Deauville, French Gr3 Prix Messidor (1600m) at Deauville & UK Listed Midsummer Stakes (8 furlongs) at Windsor; he retired with 7 wins from 10 starts for US$798,347 earnings.
