Doncaster HIT: Average Down 9.7% & Median Up 33%

Thursday, 8th April 2010

Overall at Doncaster, 96 lots sold for £656,200 (A$1.116m) which was up 39.9% on last year. The average of £6,834 (A$11,600) was down 9.7% but the median of £4,000 (A$6,800) was up 33.3%. DBS managing director Henry Beeby told racingpost.com: "The Lincoln Handicap Sale may be the smallest of the DBS year, but today showed that it fulfils an important role for middle market horses in training. We are naturally pleased with the 40% leap in turnover & the median that has advanced by a third, clearly illustrating the strength & depth of the sale."
