Inglis Easter Day-2: $1.2m Redoute's Choice Colt

Thursday, 8th April 2010

Bloodstock agent James Bester paid top price of $1.2 million for a colt by flagship Arrowfield Stud stallion & former Australian Champion Sire Redoute's Choice (the 9th foal out of 19-year-old UK-bred Manila mare Asian Reef) during yesterday's middle session at the 3-day Inglis Easter Yearling Sale at Newmarket in Sydney. The colt was consigned by Kitchwin Hills as agent & his dam Asian Reef has 7 foals to race (all winners) including Gr1-winner Bon Hoffa, Gr2-winner Before Too Long & stakes-winner Okanui. Bester enthused: "This horse has an incredible hind leg action, beautiful floating action in front; I don't buy them if they don't have that. He is as complete a colt as I have seen. He has a mother who produced a Gr1-winner & a course record-breaking Gr2-winner. What can she do with Redoute's Choice? Kitchwin Hills are fabulous operators. He's had a great start in life & ticked every single box."
