Dehere Adds US Black-Type

Former Arrowfield Stud & now Coolmore shuttler Dehere (Deputy Minister-Sister Dot, by Secretariat) added a US black-type success when daughter Decelerator (Dehere-Paris Rose, by Accelerator) scored by a neck in the US$75,000 Listed Instant Racing Stakes (8 furlongs) for 3YO fillies at Oaklawn Park. Decelerator (ridden by Terry Thompson for trainer D.Wayne Lukas) defeated Vertical Vision (Pollard's Vision-Caney Creek, by Service Stripe) & Bell's Shoes (Mineshaft-Isabell's Shoes, by King Of Kings). Decelerator (a US$35,000 yearling at the 2008 Fasig-Tipton Kentucky July Sale & subsequently a US$250,000 2YO at the 2009 Ocala Breeders February Sale) now has 4 wins (also including February's Listed Martha Washington Stakes over 8 furlongs at Oaklawn Park, plus 2009's Gr3 Debutante Stakes over 6 furlongs at Churchill Downs) & 3 runners-up (including January's Listed Dixie Belle Stakes over 6 furlongs at Oaklawn Park, plus 2009's Gr2 Golden Rod Stakes over 8.5 furlongs at Churchill Downs & Listed Pocahontas Stakes over 8 furlongs at Churchill Downs) from 11 starts for US$258,527 earnings.
