Krupt To Stand At New Lincoln Farm

Monday, 12th April 2010

Gr2-winning 4YO stallion Krupt (Flying Spur-Categorical, by Hennessy) will begin stud duties this year (following his successful syndication) & stand alongside Ready's Image at a newly-acquired property at Blandford (in the NSW Upper Hunter Valley) recently purchased by Lincoln Farm's proprietor Nick Posa. On the track as a 2YO, Krupt (a $450,000 yearling consigned by Amarina Farm at the 2007 Inglis Easter Sale in Sydney) won 2008's Gr2 Todman Stakes (1200m) at Canterbury Park, following placings in his 2 initial starts (including the Gr3 Kindergarten Stakes over 1100m at Randwick) before a foot abscess prevented him starting in the Gr1 Golden Slipper & he has not started since his Todman victory. Krupt's 3rd-dam is Grand Luxe (by Sir Ivor), a stakes-winning half-sister to highly successful racehorses and/or sires L'Enjoleur, D'Accord & Medaille D'Or. Consequently Krupt is not only closely-related to his own sire Flying Spur (former Australian Champion Sire), but also Encosta de Lago (Australian Champion Sire of the last 2 seasons).
