Monday, 12th April 2010

Emirates Park Stud's Gr1-winning stallion Al Maher (Danehill-Show Dancing, by Don't Say Halo) added a group success when daughter Speedy Natalie (Al Maher-Speedy Bell, by Brocco) scored a decisive 3-lengths victory in the $125,000 Gr3 Asian Racing Federation Trophy (2000m) for 3YO fillies at Randwick. Speedy Natalie (ridden by Luke Nolen for trainer Peter Moody) defeated favourite Status Quo (Lonhro-Step, by Grand Lodge) & Spinnawitch (Country Reel-Zerelda, by Zabeel). Speedy Natalie (a $70,000 yearling at the 2008 Magic Millions National Sale) now has 3 wins (also including 2009's Listed Dequetteville Stakes over 1100m at Morphettville) & a runner-up (in February's Gr2 Fillies Classic over 1600m at Moonee Valley) from 8 starts for $205,555 earnings.
