Stirling Grove Wins SA Sires' Produce Stakes

Gr1-winning & 4-time Gr1-placed Vinery Stud stallion Mossman (Success Express-Lichen Lady, by Twig Moss) added a juvenile group success (& 8th individual stakes-winner) when favoured gelding Stirling Grove (Mossman-Kalamata, by Desert Prince) raced away for a 4-lengths victory in the $100,000 Gr3 SA Sires' Produce Stakes (1400m) for 2YOs at Morphettville Parks in Adelaide. Stirling Grove (ridden by Chad Lever for trainer Richard Jolly) defeated the colt The Ruffian (Lonhro-Rose Of Danehill, by Danehill) & filly Safe (Strategic-Paillasse, by Octagonal). Stirling Grove (a $52,500 yearling consigned by Vinery Stud at the 2009 Inglis Melbourne Premier Sale) now has 3 wins & a runner-up (in last start's Gr3 Jansz National Stakes over 1200m at Morphettville on March 20) from 5 starts for $127,390 earnings.
