Elusive Quality Adds UK Gr3

In the UK overnight, leading US general sire of 2004 & former Darley Australia shuttler Elusive Quality (Gone West-Touch Of Greatness, by Hero's Honor) added a group success when favoured US-bred colt Elusive Pimpernel (Elusive Quality-Cara Fantasy, by Sadler's Wells) scored a 4-lengths victory in the £65,000 (A$108,000) Gr3 Craven Stakes (8 furlongs) for 3YO colts & geldings at Newmarket. Elusive Pimpernel (ridden by Tyan Moore for trainer John Dunlop) defeated Irish-bred colt Dancing David (Danehill Dancer-Seek Easy, by Seeking The Gold) & fellow US-bred colt Critical Moment (Aptitude-Rouwaki, by Miswaki). Last year as a 2YO, Elusive Pimpernel also won the UK Gr3 Acomb Stakes (7 furlongs) at York & finished runner-up in the Gr1 Racing Post Trophy (8 furlongs) at Doncaster.
