1,000 Wins To US-Based Irish Jockey Graham

In Kentucky, Irish-born jockey James Graham recorded his 1,000th winner when 3YO gelding Mint Chip scored over 9 furlongs at Keeneland for trainer Rusty Arnold. Graham, 30, entered Ireland's jockey school at age 15 & following the 10-month course, went on to work for trainer John Oxx before moving to the US in 2002. He won his 1st race in July 2003 at River Downs & his subsequent victories include 55 stakes races.
